Our services
-
Monitoring
Our team has extensive experience developing and supporting monitoring frameworks for complex programs. This has provided our clients with valuable, outcome-based data enabling continuous improvement and streamlined reporting.
We start by developing a Theory of Change. From here we seek to test each level of this with qualitative and quantitative indicators that can be practically measured. Results are then synthesised to test the impact of the work.
-
Evaluation
We have strong evaluation expertise to complement our monitoring work. Through our evaluations, we provide independent and thorough reasoning and evidence of why targets and outcomes have (or have not) been achieved. We use interviews, focus groups, survey, Most Significant Change, and Outcome Harvesting tools. Analysis can be through Contribution Analysis, Kirkpatrick’s four-levels of training assessment, statistical analysis and discussion.
We are creative and seek ownership of conclusions and recommendations. For example we have developed a participatory Value for Money assessment approach, asking participants to vote using dots on each anticipated and unexpected results and then on the extent to which the program influenced these.
-
Procurement
Our team has demonstrated procurement experience. We have effectively negotiated and agreed on terms to obtain goods and services to support organisations and governments’ needs. Our procurement work has been in the Australian and international public and private sectors and in a development context, including in the Solomon Islands, Philippines, Thailand, Taiwan and Malawi.

Project management
Effective project management is the key to our work’s success and overlays our delivery model. Our team is skilled at providing clients with regular updates, managing project team times and capacity, managing budgets, deliverables and risks. We also project manage on behalf of clients, having delivered a complex design for an education program in the Pacific in 2023 as an example.
OUR APPROACH
We differentiate our approach to development work through a contextual, flexible, valuable and targeted methodology.
Contextual
We are committed to positive change in our community. We prioritise sustainability, diversity and inclusion, and community engagement. Through participation in design and delivery of work, we test our approaches with our local team members, clients and stakeholders. For instance, we observe protocols of introduction and interviews when working with senior government members in the Pacific, translate surveys and include local examples in our data collection tools. We are connected to Asia-Pacific communities of practice in monitoring and evaluation and regularly keep in touch with our colleagues through the regions.
vALUE ADDING
We don’t do things for the sake of it and we don’t take shortcuts.
We strive to improve your program or organisation’s operations; whether that's designing new tools and frameworks, identifying gaps and opportunities or making well-informed recommendations. We will work with you to provide better quality service to customers or be prepared for unique situations.
tARGETED
For our work to be useful for our clients, it has to be meaningful and pragmatic. We continuously test our approaches and results with clients, governance committees, implementation partners and beneficiaries. With this approach, our results are relevant, accessible and practical.
